Upcoming Pop Ups
Last month we began popping up each Monday evening at Bow Market (Somerville) in a cute little shop our friends Buenas own called the Maxi Kiosko. This is a takeout event, no tickets! There are 3-4 bars open in the market that allow outside food and if the weather is tolerable, a nice courtyard with plenty of seating. This event is called HOT NOODS $10 and goes from 7pm-whenever we sell out. There are 3 dishes available each night and we can accommodate most dietary restrictions as well as vegans and vegetarians. Each dish subtly features one of Buenas’ super popular Central American sauces, Chimichurri, Pebre and Dulce de Leche which are also available in the retail section each night. Think.. chimi-crisp, like chili-crisp and pebre marinated meats in your soup. We will be there on Monday nights until we open the restaurant, and will post on our social media if anything comes up!
Back in October we did a week long pop up with our super good friends at Brassica Kitchen in Forest Hills, Jamaica Plain crushing 100 tasting menus each night. For the month of March we will be there each Tuesday evening from 5:30-10 serving a select few noodle dishes along with Brassica’s intriguing a la carte menu. Thursday, March 21st
Not too long ago a very dear friend and outstanding cook passed away suddenly, shaking the culinary community. The Lowell Connors Scholarship Foundation was created in loving memory of Lowell. This scholarship is awarded to NHS seniors who are entering the culinary or hospitality industry. Chefs that were close to him each cook a dinner at Raleigh Wine Bar in Portsmouth NH to raise money for the foundation. Rachel is cooking a dinner on 3/21, 4 courses for $75. Reserve here.
Thursday, March 28th
We are going to be at State Park in Cambridge slinging noodles and snacks from 10pm-midnight. More info on the way! (also no tickets) All we can say is.. its time to GET YOUR SPRING ON.
Sunday, April 7th
We are gonna bring it back up to the North Shore for the first crawfish boil of 2019! Viet-Cajun crawfish, snacks, beer, fun! Tickets go on sale next weekend and will be $60. Why $60? Because our pal in Louisiana puts 35+lbs of live crawfish on a direct flight, we pick them up the morning beforethe event from the airport, get to the kitchen right away to begin the magical process. Monday, April 22nd
Pausing on HOT NOODS $10 for one night to participate in the Global Barbecue Series at Whaling in Oklahoma in Boston’s South End. These guys are incredible chefs with an incredible grill. We will let you know when tickets are on sale. $30 for Vietnamese BBQ + three sides. MORE INFO SOON.

Another late night pop up at State Park! What should we do?
PLEASE REMEMBER: All of this is in efforts to raise money for the restaurant, but its also my job. We not only have payroll, rent, cost of goods, taxes etc- we also pay for permits and insurance. We do our best to make sure your experience is worth the price. For select events we will be charging a 4% service fee, not to be confused with gratuity, to help pay our back of house staff. As you know the wage game is not exactly balanced and cooks/dishwashers (the backbone of any food operation) do not legally see any of that tip pool, and for a business as small as mine- hourly wages unfortunately have to remain at the minimum for now.
